Pop Art!

Hi Guys,

here is one of my weekly assignments.

I have been asked to copy as similar ad possible a piece of art work of a chosen author from a certain art moovement I have been given randomly ( I've got Pop Art). I chosed Girl With A Hair Ribbon from Roy Fox Lichtenstein.

I've also been asked to explain what is unique about the artist and how his art style would make a good animation.

Roy Lichenstein is one of the most famous artists of his movement with Andy Warhol. He's well known for his comic strips inspirated pieces of art even if experimented many different styles the comic like style is what makes his work stands out, even if the all point of pop art was to be very similar.

This artistic style would make a very good animation style as it has symple lines and stong fluid colors, as it takes inspirations from comic books this is a quick way to provide certain informations about a plot and a situation so it is a small step to transform it from comic to animation.

The Rush Job!

Hi Guys!

In our first week of uni we have been asked to create a possible Christmas advert for a fictitious company divided into groups made by animators and tv students, all of the concept, storyboard and animatic needed to be produced in a three days time and after that we needed to present our work.

This project was set as a competition between the different groups and we arrived 3rd out of 10 groups, which is not too bad in my opinion.

I worked on the production of the storyboard and the powerpoint presentation and I found free copyrighted music to use for the story. This is not perfect as it was a RUSH job, but I really enjoyed it and I'm quite pleased with the result and with how the group got on well together.

Life Drawing!

Hi everyone!

I finally got back to uni! And today I had my first life drawing class! Really excited about starting my second year, and I'm even more excited for the projects our teachers already assigned to us! So let's start again!

This lecture was supposed to be a soft one in order to help us gain confidence again with life drawing... Infact you can see my drawings could have been more clear, even so, I am quite happy with the result.
