New PC! New Animations!

Hello everyone!

Sorry for the long silence.

I have had to wait for a new computer since my poor laptop couldn't handle Maya anymore. I and my father assembled it now so I got back into animating already!

As some time has passed all I did were a few characters walk exercises to warm up (you can find them attached to this post as usual).

Lowen Shot Breakdown!

Hi Guys!

I'm proud to share with you a breakdown of a shot I worked on for Lowen one of our third year productions.

It was hard to figure the movement of the characters at first, but I really enjoied doing the animation of the rocks falling. It was an unexpectedly challenging shot but highly rewarding!

I'm still here!

Hi Guys!

I know I've been off the radars for a while, but I kept on working on our university projects and promotional materials for myself.

I have a few updates for you though.

First of all, I'm happy to share with you that I've graduated with a first!

The second news is that I will be at the Annecy festival this June so who knows, I might meet some of you there.

What an exciting time to graduate and join the animation industry am I right?!

Lighter Dark!

Hi Guys!

Here you have the latest shot I did for the short movie "The Lighter Dark". The gecko doesn't move yet, but the rig is compleated now so I will be able to make it move at some point!

Lowen!

Hi Guys!

Another project I'm working on is Lowen! A very beautiful story about two goblin brothers and their adventures, directed by Elizabeth Seagrave and Kialle Wills, produced by Fern Griffiths (maybe these spellings are right? my course mates tend to have complicated names to spell, don't they?). For them, I've been modelling a few things, but I mainly tested rigs Daniel Martin did (amazing rigs by the way) like this early one (he is Lowen our main character):

I also tested the expressivity of newer rigs like this one (he is Locryn his older brother):

I also managed to animate an interaction between these two, check it out!

I cannot wait to see this movie finished! It looks gorgeous even in the block outs, doesn't it?!

Towels!

Hi Guys!

Another movie I've been working on is Towels! Directed by Prawta Annez and Camilla Kajarnet (I apologize if the spelling is wrong!) Towels is a very nice looking experimental indie animation. I had the chance to work on some keys and in-betweens for them and here you have a sample of what I did!

The Lighter Dark!

It is about time we discuss the movies I'm working on in my third year!

Let's start with the Lighter Dark, a very cute project directed by Torben Mcrae and produced by Natasha Dawson (hope I didn't misspell their names!). I am one of the animators working on the project and so far I can show you a sneak peak of my animation test for our main character... Moonface!
